Save the Right Whales

Whether you’re an avid environmentalist or simply curious, we invite you to join us to protect one of the world’s most endangered species. Together, we can make waves for positive change, securing a future for the North Atlantic Right Whale and all ocean life.

Since 2010, the North Atlantic Right Whale population has declined by nearly a third, with only around 70 breeding females left to sustain the species. After rebounding slowly from whaling’s impact, their numbers took a dramatic turn in 2011, leading to their designation as one of the most endangered species in the United States. Human activities—including ship strikes, entanglement in fishing gear, and disrupted feeding patterns due to ocean warming—continue to threaten their survival.

Our vessel, the LANA ROSE, plays a vital role in this effort. As a mobile research lab, it empowers scientists and advocates to work together, sharing data, insights, and raising public awareness about the urgent need to protect these whales. With real-time satellite communications and facilities for over 40 people, the LANA ROSE supports safe whale migration, promotes research, and delivers educational programs worldwide.

Join us in this essential mission to safeguard the North Atlantic Right Whale and champion the conservation of our oceans for generations to come.
